Creating, Updating and Deleting Threads

Creating a thread

Note

You need to log in to create threads.

Once logged in, click the "Create a new thread" button on the main page.

Fill in the thread's title, body and up to 3 tags.

Do note the following constraints when creating a thread:

Thread Constraints

• Title must be between 1 and 100 characters long.
• Body must be between 1 and 3000 characters long.
• There must not be more than 3 tags.
• Each tag must be between 1 and 30 characters long.
• Tags can only contain lowercase letters, numbers, and dashes.
  • Capital letters will be converted to lowercase.
  • Spaces will be converted to dashes.
  • Other special characters will be removed.

Tip

When adding tags, remember to press the "Enter" key after typing each tag.

Updating a thread

Note

You can only update threads that you have created.

To update a thread, click on the "Edit" button on the thread's page.

You can then edit the thread's title, body and tags.

Do note that the same constraints mentioned above also apply when updating a thread.

Once you are done, click on the "Save" button to save your changes.

To cancel the edit, click on the "Cancel" button.

Deleting a thread

Note

You can only delete threads that you have created.

To delete a thread, click on the "Delete" button on the thread's page.

Click "OK" on the confirmation dialog to confirm the deletion.

Warning

The deletion of a thread is permanent and irreversible.

All the comments on the thread will also be deleted.
